What I’m studying this semester…Math for idiots!
I thought I’d fill you all in on what classes I’m currently taking this semester. The first class I’m taking is Intermediate Algebra. I took Introductory Algebra last semester and was quite impressed with myself. This time, I’ve been kind of “eh” about it. I am not a math person. Of course I can add, subtract and all the basics, I can do percentages, and find the area of a wall to calculate how much paint I need for a room. But factoring polynomials is kind of where my brain wants to take a vacation.
Unfortunately, these math classes are required. I have to complete this semester with a passing grade in order to take the Math class that actually counts towards my degree. Otherwise I can’t take the higher math class that is required (statistics) for a degree in psychology. This is not good for someone like me, who is barely hanging on by a thread this semester in the “remedial” math class.
